Dear Brethren:
He… has determined … the boundaries of their dwellings (Acts 26b).
Last week I attended a very sobering symposium on “Immigration and Assimilation” sponsored by Paul Weyrich’s Free Congress Foundation. The presenters were Sen. Lamar Alexander (R-TN), Mark Krikorian from the Center for Immigration Studies, and William Lind of the Free Congress itself.
I want to pass on to you some of their assessments:
Many of the illegal aliens have no intention of becoming citizens;
Those who may become citizens one day will never be “Patriotic Americans”;
They have come here simply for money and are being encouraged by both our government(!!) and Mexico to retain allegiance to Mexico;
The aliens have no desire to learn our language, history or civics (unlike historical immigrants who retained their customs, but sincerely wanted to assimilate and become “Patriotic Americans”);
As their numbers swell there is the potential for the creation of a separate alternative mainstream, “Hispanic America”, without any loyalty to or interest in our culture, historical imperatives or “creed”;
The elites have been pushing multiculturalism that stresses “citizenship without allegiance”; this means no binding or universally embraced culture; what they favor is a “nation” without borders made up of a bunch of individualistic self-absorbed tribes, races, clans, religions, etc;
The elites are using the illegal aliens to further both their opposition to “Americanization” and the “deconstruction” of the United States of America;
According to Lind and Harvard Professor Samuel Huntington’s book, “Who Are We?”, our culture was originally established as “Anglo-Saxon and Protestant” and has continued to be until recently;
Lind believes we are “importing people from cultures which have no similarity to ours”;
As a result of the above we are entering a new era that Kirkovian calls “post-Americanism”;
Therefore, we are “being invaded by non-assimilating people” (see what is happening in France, England and most of “Old Europe” for example).
I am not offering this information primarily to stimulate prayer, although hopefully it will; instead, I am bringing these ideas to you as a Watchman, warning you of what is REALLY taking place. Praying Christians must be aware, alert and informed if they are going to be effective and fervent.
Remove not the ancient landmark, Which thy fathers have set. (Pr 22:28).
