TRAITORS IN OUR MIDST

Dear Brethren & Others:

“Woe to you, O traitor” (Is 33:1 NIV).

It is a season of REJOICING over the birth of our beloved Savior, Jesus Christ (Lk 2:10).

It is also a time to mourn (Eccl 3:4). Why? There are TRAITORS in our midst; people in the highest places, super-liberal pagans in our political arena and in our culture-at-large who “support abject retreat” and “openly embrace defeatism” in Iraq (read Edward Morrissey’s column at http://www.weeklystandard.com/Content/Public/Articles/000/000/006/456mvstf.asp).

What constitutes TREASON? Well, I looked in Webster’s 1969 Dictionary and found “betrayal of one’s country” and “giving aid and comfort to one’s enemies”.

Doesn’t that sound like what Howard Dean, John Kerry, Nancy Pelosi, Teddy Kennedy, John Murtha, Ramsey Clark and hundreds of so-called media stars and commentators are doing?

Folks, we are in a WAR; as Tony Blankley warns (see his new book, “The West’s Last Chance”), “We are in a battle to the death with radical Islam.” Do these defeatists not see this or care? Or, are they so filled with ambition for themselves and with HATRED for President Bush and our Judeo-Christian ideals and principles that they are choosing to turn Iraq, the Middle East and, eventually, their own grandchildren over to Islamic rule and extremism?

To borrow a word from the title of Michelle Malkin’s new book, these liberals have become totally “UNHINGED”!

Everything these people (and their millions of co-traitors) advocate (i.e., cutting and running immediately) will result in victory for those who obviously are determined to blow us to pieces and eventually subjugate us and the World to Islamic rule with Sharia law.

This behavior is breathtakingly TREASONOUS! Many want us to lose the War in hopes this will return them to political power. But at what cost? Is defeat, running from the enemy (see Neh 6:11-12), literally turning the world over to our (and God’s) enemies not TREASON? Especially when the politicians advocating “fleeing” have taken an OATH to “uphold the Constitution” which the Islamofacists look forward to trashing?

It has been our theological opinion from the start (see our archives at www.prayeralert.org) that the Lord has sanctioned this War for God’s larger purpose in history. Those who oppose the war have every right to, but they are opposing “the Lord of History”! As Isaiah wrote, “Woe to you, O traitor” (Is 33:1 NIV).

How should we PRAY?

1. We all must REPENT! We are all in this together and we are all guilty of the national sins that have caused the confusion and these curse-like problems (see Dt 28:15-68 and Daniel 9).

2. We must PRAY for God’s enemies and the super-liberal/leftist pagan TRAITORS; for their spiritual eyes to be opened; for Godly sorrow, repentance and salvation; and for the fear of God which is the beginning to TRUE WISDOM! (Please especially see Job 42:5-6; Pr 1:6; Acts 8:22-23; 2 Cor 7:10).
