Dear Praying Christians & Others:

Moreover you shall select from all the people able men, such as fear God, men of truth, hating covetousness; and place such over themAnd let them judge the people at all times (Ex 18:21-22a).

The selection of Judge John G. Roberts to fill the U.S. Supreme Court vacancy has received approval from many, but not all, pro-family organizations and luminaries around the country.

Perhaps the most interesting one I heard came from a most unlikely source, Sandy Berger, President Clinton's (rather ineffective and weak) National Security Advisor who told Michael Medved that Roberts (who was Berger's former law partner) is "very, very conservative".

Predictabley the long knives of the left are sharpened and already drawn and looking for more "innocent blood" to shed (as if the amount being shed today at abortion mills doesn't satisfy these ghouls). I turned on the TV today at 6:00 a.m. and there were some poor, deceived girls standing in front of the U.S. Supreme Court yesterday with signs saying "Save Roe"! As we all know ABORTION is THE issue; it's the pagans' sacrament.

We can count on the anti-Christ left to try to "BORK" Judge Roberts a la Clarence Thomas. They will look through everything he has ever done or said; they will demand every document he has ever touched (which will not be forthcoming because of executive privilege). Etc., etc., etc. If they can muster a filibuster (which is questionable), they will try. Their base demands one.
So, what can you and I do?

1. Immediately pray for Judge Roberts, the President, the Republican Senators and public favor;

2. Pray against the lies, slander, and other schemes of Roberts' adversaries (which is just as important as #1);

3. Look for good pro-Roberts organizations to help.

Just like our conflict with Islam (and soon perhaps with Red China), this is a battle to the death. Who wins depends on you and me. Please, do not sit on the sidelines. Your children, grandchildren and nation are counting on you.
