Memo I: to Praying Biblical Brethren and Others

"When they have a difficulty, they come to me, and I judge between one and another; and I make known the statutes of God and His laws." (Ex 18:16)

"Moreover you shall select from all the people able men, such as fear God, men of truth, hating covetousness; And let them judge the people at all times." (Ex 18:21-22a)

I write to you today about this matter of Judges and the unbiblical Filibuster being mounted by secular humanist tyrants who have been taking the Law and Constitution into their own hands.
Because they are Biblical, written by Moses (God's servant) and inspired by the Holy Spirit, the Scriptures above concerning Judges may surprise you; my comments and those of another may shock some of you.

The first quote above cites Moses who says, in effect, Judges are to make known and apply God's perspective and laws to matters of dispute. One theologian* states, "The office of judge is thus a theocratic office; the minister declares the word; the judge applies it to the conflicts of life He (the judge) is only secondarily an officer of state; he is primarily an officer of God."

In the second scriptural quote above, we see (through Moses) what God requires of a Judge:

1. Primarily, that he or she "fear God";

2.
That the Judge know and love the Truth, which can only be known through Jesus Who is THE Truth (John 14:6).

We will see in Memo II (forthcoming soon) what else Moses wrote about God's qualifications for Judges (see Deut 16:18-20) and we will study the ramifications for our society if we continue to be tyrannized by corrupt God-hating men and women in black robes.

Suffice it to say now that, for true believers in Christ and in the U.S. Constitution which He inspired, we MUST want, like Moses, to serve God in this matter by praying about this Judges/Filibuster stronghold. You can see from the Biblical quotes above that God wants a particular kind of person to be appointed Judge. It SHOULD NOT MATTER to us what partisan "elites" think. "WWJT" that's what matters ("What would Jesus think?")!

Now, since we are Biblical Christians, we obviously do not want a theocracy (see Mt 22:21). However, we desire and need men and women appointed and confirmed who come as close as possible to the criteria established by the Chief Judge of us all JESUS.

Please join me in Praying for the following:

1. May the evil Filibuster be destroyed so Sovereign God can use His appointed 100 Senators to confirm the Judges He wants to the bench (perhaps He doesn't want any or all of Bush's nominees  we'll see if votes are taken (after all, God is sovereign over that, too);

2. May the Rule of Law be reestablished in our land via a strict application of the U.S. Constitution, which Biblical people believe is God-inspired.
Stay tuned for Memo II on this topic. God has more to say to us through Deut. 16:18-20 and His inspired commentators.
