Rev. Richard Owen Roberts, a former
pastor, modestly describes himself as an "Itinerant Minister,
Bookseller and Publisher." Yet praying believers, especially
those who view Repentance in the Church as key to America's spiritual
reformation, see Rev. Roberts as a leading champion for true
Revival and Awakening today.
J. I. Packer, Professor of Theology at Regent College, states
concerning Rev. Roberts' latest book, REPENTANCE: The First Word
of the Gospel, "Roberts writes to remind us that the real
measure of our faith is our repentance--something that we too
often forget. Probing, prodding, relentlessly thorough, [Roberts']
extended Bible study...covers the waterfront admirably. Many
of us, I suspect, badly need a dose of his pungent realism."
Cofounder in 1985 of International Awakening Ministries, with
headquarters in Chicago, Rev. Roberts presides over a highly
respected theological book selling and multimedia-publishing
enterprise that seeks to advance worldwide understanding of Biblical
revival and spiritual awakening. Rev. Roberts maintains an extensive
preaching schedule and is recognized as an authority in the field
of antiquarian books.
Rev. Roberts and his wife, Margaret, make their home in Wheaton,
IL. |
