 SUBJECT: SECURING PRO-LIFE VICTORIES

God stands in the congregation of the mighty; He judges among the gods [kings, lawmakers & judges]. How long will you judge unjustly and accept the persons of the wicked? (Ps 82:all)

This week's pro-life victories are cause for rejoicing. After thirty years of Christian political effort to counteract the evil Roe v. Wade, the Partial Birth Abortion Ban Act (PBAB) is a tiny practical win, yet a HUGE symbolic win. Possibly a new beginning, it ought not to be despised (Zec 4:10; Hag 2:3-9).

Florida's action to override an unholy court order to murder a defenseless, invalid woman was a righteous exercise of executive and legislative authority. It was an example for all elected officials faced with the glaring need to rein in an increasingly godless, runaway judiciary. Scripture warns of the consequences to nations that tolerate judges who ignore God's eternal laws (Pr 28:4).

Christians must now pray to secure these victories!

Matthew Henry, the great 17th century theologian, wrote of the 82nd Psalm:

"This psalm is 'to instruct the judges of the earth' (v. 2, 10) God's supreme presidency and power is to be believed both by princes and judges (Ps 82:1) Magistrates are in authority for the public good and they ought to be so with wisdom and courage. They are ministers of His justice and goodness: to punish evildoers and protect those that do good (Pr 16:10; Pr 28:15)

"But God charges bad magistrates, who neglect their duty and abuse their power, who forget that God stands among those who judge unjustly who do wrong under color of right Woe unto you, O land! When your judges are such as these.

"They have baffled their own consciences they walk on in darkness, not knowing nor caring what they do nor whither they go. These walk in darkness and are walking on into everlasting darkness.

"What are the consequences of their sins? All the foundations of the earth (land) are out of course 'The earth and all the inhabitants thereof are dissolved' (Ps 75:3)."

Please Join Us in Persistent Prayer:

·       THANK YOU LORD for granting these victories!

·       May we who name the Name of Christ urgently REPENT, PRAY & ARISE to SECURE these victories & to MAINTAIN THE OFFENSIVE until our nation has returned to You.

·       FAN THE FLAMES of every initiative to make America's judges accountable to You, again. In Jesus' Name, Amen (Ex 18:21; Ps 75:all; Ps 106:1-3; Pr 29:2; Jer 18:2-10).
