Men attribute corruptions, murders, terrorism, war, collapsing markets, a falling dollar, a return to deficit public spending, rising unemployment, an unprecedented bankruptcy rate, broken homes, devastating fires, floods, tornados, droughts, heat waves, and other "disasters" to natural causes. But all are evidence of our Sovereign God's Biblically promised judgments (Ps 9:17; Dt 28:15ff). God is crying out, "AMERICA REPENT!" Our nation's economic troubles are but part of a burgeoning list of curses facing our nation. America IS undergoing God's judgment! Matthew Henry, Biblical expositor of eighteenth century England, wrote of Psalm 12: "Ask the children of this world what it is...that makes the times bad, and they will tell you 'Scarcity of money, decay of trade, and the desolations of war...' "But the Scripture lays the badness of the times upon causes of another nature: When there is a general decay of piety and honesty among men...a general decay of religion and virtue... then the times are very bad... When men...make no conscience of a lie... when there is no such thing as sincerity... when an honest man knows not whom to believe nor whom to trust... "Woe to those who help to make the times thus perilous. When the enemies of God and religion...are impudent and daring, and threaten to run down all that is just and sacred, then the times are very bad... When wickedness abounds, and goes barefaced, under the protection and countenance of those in authority, then the times are very bad." We should be angered by insider stock deals that enrich a few and ravage millions. But unless we repent, times will get much worse. God will raise up even worse men to punish us, steal our goods and to make us paupers and slaves. We who know the Lord must humble ourselves before Him, be empowered by His Grace and urgently lead our nation to wholehearted REPENTANCE, FAITH and OBEDIENCE to Jesus Christ. your Judgments with WHOLEHEARTED REPENTANCE. Send with your fiery
arrows MERCIES. May the CONVICTING POWER of Your Holy Spirit
