SPECIAL PRAYER NEEDED
FOR WASHINGTON WATCHMAN
On your walls, O Jerusalem, I
have appointed watchmen (Is 62:6).
Our dear friend and fellow watchman in Washington, D.C., Rev.
Rob Schenck, is in need of prayers of faith. Rev. Schenck, along
with his brother Paul, founded the ministry Faith and Action
(http://faithandaction.org/),
a Christian outreach whose mission is to reintroduce the Word
of God into the public debate surrounding legislation and policy
matters.
Even with surgery before him, Rev. Schenck spent the last
week in Florida interceding for Terri Schiavo's life.
The following is the latest update from Rev. Schenck:
"I am scheduled for a specialized brain surgery on March
24. This is the result of an anomaly at the base of my brain
where an artery has wrapped itself around two nerves as they
emerge from the brain stem. In my case, they are the 7th and
8th cranial nerves, controlling muscle function on the left side
of my face and hearing in my left earThe condition is progressive
and will eventually result in permanent damage to the nerves,
possibly causing complete and irreversible facial paralysis and
deafness
"The operation will be conducted through the Department
of Neurosurgery at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh,
Pennsylvania, where Drs. Peter Jannetta and Kenneth Casey will
head the surgical team. These two neurosurgeons pioneered this
procedure and are world renowned; it is 95% successful
"I have every confidence that the Lord's hand is in all
of this. I expect to return in six weeks with my full strength,
unencumbered by this 'light affliction.'"
According to his surgeons "there is a zero-tolerance
for error in the procedure."
Please Join Us in Faith-Filled Prayers:
Almighty God, Watch over Rev. Schenck
& Keep him SAFE during the surgery and the weeks of recovery.
GUIDE the surgical team with WISDOM. Allow NO COMPLICATIONS.
In the Name of Jesus, AMEN! (Ps 34:19; 42:11; 55:18; 91:all;
Jn 14:27; 2 Cor 2:14a)
