PRAYER & THE 2004 ELECTION
Polls Show Kerry, Edwards over Bush

[T]hey raised their voices together in prayer… “Sovereign Lord,” they said..."Why do the nations rage and the peoples plot in vain? ...They did what Your power and will had decided… Now, Lord, consider their threats…enable your servants to speak your word with great boldness. … [P]erform signs and wonders through the name of… Jesus. After they prayed… they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke the word of God boldly (Acts 4:24-31).

Since 1976 the outcome of every national election has hinged upon the evangelical Christian vote. God uses the prayers and obedience of His people to fulfill His will, blessing or withholding, according to their faithfulness to seek His face in repentant prayer (2 Chr 7:14).

• President Bush won the 2000 election by a hair's breadth supported by Evangelicals.
  
  
• The President’s approval ratings have plummeted in recent weeks. A CNN/USA Today poll shows Bush trailing both Senators John Kerry (MA) and John Edwards (NC) by double digits.
  
  
• Many fiscal and social conservatives are unhappy with the President's amnesty-like immigration plan, budget deficits, mammoth liberal prescription drug and education programs, hiring of homosexuals, liberty-depriving Patriot Act; failure to veto unconstitutional Campaign Finance Reform, etc. Democrat hatred and Conservative disgust could easily combine to make Massachusetts Sen. John Kerry our next President.
  
  
• Americans for Democratic Action (ADA), who study every Congressman's voting record assigning each a “Liberal Quotient,” gave John Kerry a lifetime score of 92%, higher than super-liberal Sen. Ted Kennedy (see www.adaction.org/lifetimesenmassachusetts.html).

Those who believe prayer is a powerful gift, with which a small minority of Christians can significantly impact history, should be on their knees, pleading for God to give us God-fearing men in November. America is deeply divided! Behind the rhetoric, God and His righteousness are the issue! How long will God tolerate America if we continue to choose leaders who ignore God and who shamelessly advocate baby murder and homosexual rights?
