WILL EPISCOPAL
CHURCH SPLIT?
American Christians
Must Pray
Those who forsake the law
praise the wicked, but those who keep the law resist them (Pr
28:4).
Meeting in Dallas this week, some 2700 conservative Episcopalians,
including 800 clergymen and 46 bishops, called for the chastisement
of those church leaders who voted in August to confirm the ordination
of an openly homosexual bishop.
- God-fearing Episcopalians have watched their church become
progressively pro-homosexual since 1976, when the Bishops commissioned
a study on the impact of ordaining homosexuals.
- This year, besides consenting to the ordination of a homosexual
bishop in New Hampshire the Bishops affirmed the right of local
priests to bless same-sex unions.
- In their "Call to Action," the conservative delegates
concluded that those who blessed homosexuality had "broken
fellowship with the larger body of Christ" and "brought
the Episcopal Church under God's judgment."
- The conservative Episcopalians corporately repented for
their part in the sins of the church; prayed for those hurt or
led astray by their actions; called upon their leaders to repent
and reverse their "unbiblical," "schismatic"
actions. They declared afresh their commitment to the "Biblical
teaching about sexuality and marriage" and affirmed God's
"transforming power" of love for those "seeking
sexual purity and wholeness." They pledged to redirect their
giving from those who "support the unrighteous actions"
of their bishops to "biblically orthodox mission and ministry."
- Finally, they appealed to the Primates of the World Anglican
Communion to "discipline" the American bishops. (For
more information on the Episcopal gathering see http://www.AmericanAnglican.org/News/News.cfm?ID=783&c=21).
These churchmen's stand against evil is important for Revival
and Reformation in America. That a significant percentage of
God-fearing Episcopalians has now said, "Enough is enough!"
and are demanding Biblical realignment in their historic church
is a very positive development.

Prayer:
- Heavenly Father, STAND BY these
who have taken a public stance against EVIL. Allow their righteous
action to spur Repentance among Episcopalians worldwide. May
God-fearing churchmen in other apostatizing Churches follow their
example. Demonstrate your Divine blessing upon these who are
standing with You. In Jesus' Name, Amen (Dt 30:19; Josh 24:15;
1 Kg 18:21; 1 Cor 6:11-13; 11:19).
ATTENTION! Please
set aside February 27 & 28, 2004, to attend the Washington
Insider Report's Pray for America Convocation
here in Washington, DC. Richard Owen Roberts will be our keynote
speaker both nights! Brother Roberts has been studying revival
for more than 50 years. Attendees will be able to hear from and
talk to "those-in-the-know" about the upcoming elections
and the workings of Washington from a Biblical worldview.
