Alabama Chief Justice Roy Moore will stand trial on November 12, to defend himself against six charges of violating state ethics rules when he refused to obey a federal court order to remove a Ten Commandments monument from the rotunda of the Alabama Judicial Building.

• The court turned down Moore's request for the trial to be postponed until after his appeal to the U.S. Supreme Court. Moore's attorneys will file that important appeal on Monday.
  
• The Court warned Moore's attorneys not to enter motions to stall the proceedings. But Moore's attorneys want to be sure Judge Moore will face an unbiased judicial panel.
  
• On Thursday, the Alabama Senate voted unanimously to propose a constitutional amendment to protect the right to display the Ten Commandments in Alabama's public buildings. The bill will now go to the Alabama House.
  
• Organizers of the Ten Commandments Caravan (see http://www.spiritofmontgomery.org/) will launch a five-state, eight-day traveling rally this Sunday, September 28th, at 3PM on the steps of the Alabama State Capitol in Montgomery.
  
• Individuals and churches are encouraged to join the group en route to the U.S. Supreme Court in Washington, DC. Travelers should notice the huge, lighted Ten Commandments billboard that will accompany the caravan. Routes, schedule, rally locations, and updates are available at the Spirit of Montgomery Web site.
  
• The same organizers are asking all Americans to urge Congress to accept Judge Moore's offer to display his Ten Commandments Memorial in the rotunda of the U.S. Capitol.

Several new Commandments cases appear each week across America. This issue will not go away. It is one Christians MUST WIN if America and American freedom are to be preserved.
