Judah did evil in the sight of the LORD provoking Him to jealousy with their sins above all that their fathers had done. There were also sodomites in the land who did according to all the abominations of the nations that the LORD cast out before the children of Israel (1 Ki 14:22, 24 paraphrase).


On Tuesday, Prime Minister Jean Chretien announced that "within weeks" Canada will change its federal laws to allow "same-sex" marriage. Chretien called this "an evolution of society."

• Homosexual activists on both sides of the border celebrated saying this would create tremendous "momentum and hope" in the homosexual community and "influence the attitudes of all Americans."
  
• The homosexual response was immediate. By Thursday morning, 13 homosexual "couples," three of them American, had obtained marriage licenses in Windsor, Ontario alone.
  
• Pro-family leaders warn that American homosexuals will "marry" in Canada then demand legal recognition of their Canadian marital status in the U.S.
  
• The Defense of Marriage Act of 1996 (DOMA) says "No State shall be required to give effect to any public act, record, or judicial proceeding of any other State respecting a relationship between persons of the same sex that is treated as a marriage under the laws of such other Stateor a right or claim arising from such relationship" and "'marriage' means only a legal union between one man and one woman as husband and wife..."
  
• It is not too late to stop Canada-wide recognition of homosexual marriages. The Canadian Parliament must approve all legislation. While a slim majority of Canadians say they favor a right to "gay" marriage a substantial minority, even among liberals, oppose the idea.
  
• Homosexuals have successfully advanced their agenda here in the U.S. ú Sen. Hillary Clinton (D-NY) has introduced legislation to give homosexual couples rights akin to marriage; California legislators are considering a same-sex marriage bill; Democrat presidential contenders are competing to prove who is most committed to homosexual rights; and the Bush administration appears to be kowtowing to homosexual activists.

Unless the Church in America gets very serious about prayer and arises to be the prophetic voice God means us be, the U.S. and much of the West will ultimately suffer the fate God promised all who defy His moral laws by embracing the perversions of Sodomy.
