They even sacrificed their sons and their daughters to demons and shed innocent blood, the blood of their sons and daughters, whom they sacrificed to the idols of Canaan; And the land was polluted with blood.  (Ps 106:37-38)


Today, June 17, 2003, Norma McCorvey, represented by Allan Parker and the Justice Foundation with the support of Operation Outcry, filed a motion in the U.S. Court in Dallas to reopen Norma's 1969 lawsuit, Roe v. Wade. The U.S. Supreme Court's infamous 1973 ruling in this case overturned abortion laws across America and legalized abortion in all 50 states. Miss McCorvey is asking the court to set aside its original ruling made 33 years ago.

• As a party to the original case, Miss McCorvey, the "Jane Roe" of Roe v. Wade, has unique standing to request that her case be reopened.
  
• She intends to present evidence which was unknown during her original lawsuit to demonstrate it is no longer just to apply Roe v. Wade:
  
  1.       Abortion harms women. Thirteen hundred women have filed affidavits for this case to document abortion's devastating emotional, physical and psychological consequences to them.
  
  2.       Scientists now know, conclusively, that human life begins at conception. When Roe was decided, the answer to "When does human life begin?" remained open.
  
  3.       Texas law now requires the state to provide for every "unwanted" child. The "need" for women to dispose of their unwanted children by abortion no longer exists there or anywhere.
  
  
• Norma made her identity public in the 1980s and became the darling of the pro-abortion movement. Yet God used Operation Rescue leader, Rev. Flip Benham, wondrously to led Miss McCorvey to Christ in 1995. She tells the story in her 1998 book, "Won by Love."
  
• The timing of this challenge is bold. Pro-aborts are still enraged over the election of George Bush and his appointment of conservative federal judges. They feel threatened by passage of the Partial Birth Abortion Ban Act and evidence of America's increasingly pro-life leanings.
  
• This may be our last chance to reverse Roe v. Wade. Now is the time for a Pro-Life Revival that signals the beginning of a wholesale Biblical Awakening in America!
