JUSTICE In THE UKRAINE!

Pray for Justice & Liberty

Will not God bring about justice for his chosen ones, who cry out to Him day and night? … I tell you, He will see that they get justice, and quickly…" (Lk 18:7-8).

Declaring a rigged presidential run-off invalid, Ukraines Supreme Court paved the way for Ukrainians to throw off Russian domination and to embrace Western-style democracy. Christians need to support the Ukrainian people with prayer; to help them lay hold of liberty and justice, now within reach.

·       For over two weeks, tens of thousands of Ukrainians have born frigid temperatures and drenching rains to maintain round-the-clock vigil in Kievs Independence Square. Their cry for liberty and justice inspires freedom-loving people everywhere.

·       The post-election runoff was fraught with irregularities and rigged to favor Prime Minister Viktor Yanukovych who is backed by Russian President Vladimir Putin.

·       Yanukovychs election would mean an increase of the pro-Russia policies of outgoing President Leonid Kuchma - ]the imposition of an authoritarian system [similar to what Putin] is creating in Russia… a propagandistic regime, controlled media, official persecution of dissent, business executives who take orders from the state, and elections that are neither free nor fair… [and an expanding] bloc of non-democratic countries controlled by the Kremlin…” www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/articles/A11910-2004Nov25.html?sub=AR ).

·       Supporters are confident pro-West former Prime Minister Viktor Yushchenko will prevail in an honest runoff.

·       Christians among the protestors say, "There's an atmosphere of joy and hope…”

·       Thousands of independent churches face open hostility from the political old guard (cooperating with the Orthodox Church). Evangelicals will suffer if Putin and his cronies maintain their grip on the nation. Thankfully, the U.S. officially supports the protesters.

·      Lord, Grant the Ukrainian people LIBERTY & JUSTICE.

·      EXPOSE & PUNISH all who participate in election fraud.

·      DELIVER & PROTECT innocent Ukrainians. GIVE them a government that will please You & FOSTER the Gospels advance. In Jesus Name, Amen! (Ps 31:23-24; 67:4; 72:10-15; 86:9; 97:9-10; Pr 14:34).
